You can see by the pictures on the right that this school is in desperate need of help - our help.
The school is expertly run by a dedicated team, doing their very best with the very limited funds and equipment they have.

The school is known as the Abba Gebre michael High School and it takes children from 4 to 15 in two shifts, morning and afternoon. A total of 1200 children attend the school.

The school  was started in 1978 by the Daughters of Charity.

The school is now run by the Vincentian’s of Ethiopia

Morning shift from 8.00 am – 12.20 pm . 
Afternoon shift  12.30pm  – 4.50pm

•Teachers  43
•Children in each class 55-60
•35% Girls 65% boys

•Ages range from 4 - 15

•Religious background
•Orthodox 60%
•Muslim 25%
•Catholic 15%

The children are given a "good" meal at the school and are taught in very over subscribed classes with 60 children in 1 class being the norm.
